Scientific studies have revealed higher quantities of phenolic compounds and antioxidants in rewarewa, commonly known as the New Zealand honeysuckle. This unique single-source honey has a dark colour and is packed with natural components, unlike other honey you may be accustomed to.
To highlight the rich flavour of this unusual ingredient, eat it directly off the spoon or combine it with exotic fruits.
TASTE PROFILE
Dark amber in colour with roasted maple and butterscotch caramel aromas. It has a pasty texture and a mild granular appearance. With a butterscotch finish, it tastes like dried apricots, toasted hazelnuts, and maple. apricot jam and pecans are being devoured by velvet-clad wood elves.
